Rich Hot Chocolate

The days are getting colder and darker. Need a way to warm up? Try my Rich Hot Chocolate with Extra Virgin Olive Oil to heat up the soul.

The main difference with this hot chocolate is that it contains Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO). Extra Virgin olive oil is different than other olive oils because it contains high amounts of healthy biophenols that give the oil its distinctive rich, pungent and delicious taste.

Adding EVOO to a hot chocolate will increase the richness on the cacao as well as providing you with a good source of healthy fats and biophenols.

Health Benefits of Extra Virgin Olive Oil

EVOO is a great source of healthy fat and it is recommended you consume 25-50mL or ~3 tablespoons of EVOO daily in your diet to receive its associated health benefits.

The biophenols found in EVOO are one of the main reasons its considered so healthy for you. EVOO that contains high amounts of biophenols has been shown to improve cardiovascular health for example cholesterol and blood pressure. I would recommend you check the label of your EVOO bottle to see if it states the amount of biophenols it contains.
